How to record your desktop screen using YouTube

Screencasting or simply screen recording is a very easy to do task. You can easily download a software for it and record what you need, which can be further downloaded as a video and you can upload it wherever you like to host it. Right now, there are various good and handy screencasting tools or softwares available in the market that are free to install and use.

But, the thing is not many of us know about the fact that we can even screencast our desktop screen merely using YouTube. So, what's the benefit of recording your screen using YouTube? The answer is quite simple! Why should we waste our time using those softwares and tools when we have our beloved YouTube to do the work for us. Not only this, YouTube has an extra advantage over these screencasting tools i.e. We can also host it as a live stream at that moment only which in my view is a great thing.

3. If you are doing this all for the first time, YouTube will verify you. You can verify it using your working mobile number with either a message for the code or a call. The verification page looks something like this.

4. After doing this, You will reach the page where you can  see Live Streaming option to the left with two sub-options. You need to select the Events tab which opens a new page where you need to click on the New Event button on the top of the page.
